Facebook is one way to target friends and family. Needless to say, you know Facebook is a social utility website. Everything that you post on your FB account can get many interested and excited all at the same time. You can have something like, my famous wedding planning… and post every detail that you plan…Fitness, accessories, hair style, gown, flowers etc. Now, that’s an effective and preferred way to reach out to your target audience.

For brides who want to be on TV… my best suggestion, check out, “Say yes to the dress”. Go shopping for your dress and get TV exposure. For sure, this will get your town thrilled and they will look forward to your wedding event. Good luck and I will see you next time.

What’s your favor?

It’s often that we go to an event and we start to look for a favor or a gift to take with us… We all like gifts, even in small packages. Don’t we? Keep in mind that the favor should be beneficial and it should remind one of your very event(s). This is especially important because one will relate your memorable event to this favor. The favor has many rewards. For example, it can be used as a promotional item, it could be used as a prize and it could be used as a gift to one. There are many different types of favors, to list a few, DVD, small frame, pens, magnets, notepads, candy and much more.

Remember, you also have to tie your personal goals and make sure the favor is appropriate. Weddings, business symposiums and charities will vary in favor(s). For example, a wedding may have a small “Eiffel Tower” to symbolize love, to give it a French touch and most importantly a showcase piece for you, a business symposium may have a card holder with their logo on it and a charity may have a calculator or a stress ball for the attendees.  You see, it has to be creative and a strong message should be sent to participants, volunteers and/or individuals that you invite for your special occasion.

How often do you prioritize..? Do you think it’s important? Do you know how to prioritize? If not, Jaanam is here to help and will teach you how to prioritize an event. When planning an event it’s important to prioritize. You have to determine what needs to be done, what needs to be accomplished and what tasks are time-critical. Once you have determined the major tasks, you want to have it in a logical order. This way you are getting done what needs to be done first. Next, you want to have the tasks to be broken down into a sequence of sub-tasks, this will give you clarity while prioritizing. This is key because you are handling the entire event…from broadcasting to the strokes of the smallest possible details. Prioritizing means more than just a list of “to do’s”…it may require you to research, analyze and make determination and decisions. For example, you may need to research and find specific decor pieces required for your clients event, negotiate price, determine what tools are needed, is it within your clients time frame and budget and would you need to hire some help to complete the job.

Remember, you are the planner so, yes, you will find yourself delegating a lot of tasks… Keep in mind that you are working to develop and execute a clear image of the kind of event your client wishes for…therefore prioritizing is essential. You will notice yourself accomplishing all the tasks through the right time framing and lastly you will have a satisfied client.  Don’t forget that you are also demonstrating your expertise to your client and through expertly coordinating all the elements of the event you will gain credibility, continuous business and referrals. A tip, don’t be afraid to ask for a testimonial from your client after a successful event.

What does wedding vows mean to you? Really!

Vows should be taken seriously; it’s a promise, a commitment a declaration that you will have to abide by for your lives together. Whether it’s religious, traditional values and/or romantic promises, it’s meant to be kept and should be made in the presence of your chosen witnesses.

When writing your vows, make sure it’s straight from your heart…it will add meaning to your marriage and set the tone for the future. Your vows for one another should be beautiful, romantic and get you in touch with your most inner feelings. It should be heartfelt! Remember, your written vows can be tied to your cultural and religious values… So, be confident when you recite them, this is your sweetheart and your vows will be the strength of your marriage. Love is patient, love is precious, love is peaceful, and LOVE is the most beautiful pulse in the world and your recited vows will be held in the most precious place of your forever love.
